the brake has a very spongy lever but that's not all bad. the power comes on smooth with enough for wheelies and endos. then it locks nothing between perfect for trials. the rotor is only 160mm but it's got plenty of power. also the pad is loose in the caliper which gives you about 10mm of movement on a 26" wheel. other hope brakes don't have this problem so HOPE need to fix this. apart from these small issues the brake is superb for trials.

(This brake sux) ive been using it for a while now an ive sent it back to the shop i bought it from twice, sent it back to hope twice an ive been told the same thing every time ( its supposed to be like that) i find this brake far to spongy the brake bairly grabs until the lever's almost to the bar, an for £120 (its just not worth it). hope need to get there heads out of there arses if they wanna uphold there rep as the best disc brake producers.

Great brake. Lots of power, modulates well. Steel braided brake hose is hard to break. I've bent the rotor quite a bit, but that might not be a product problem because I do smash it against stuff alot.
