Used Product For 6 Months Strengths great frame Weaknesses bottom braket bearings Similar Products Used tested 04s, 05 brusier1 (good bike) Review ive had this bike for about 7months now and i've noticed people findin weakness's on it so i thought i'd put my view in. firstly peole say the forks arent very good, rubbish, i admit they arent the greatest but ive been doin 2 and half meter drops street riding, dirt jumping, street trials etc and they arent bottoming out. also the rims arent very good but they do hold up, obviously they buckle but they aint doing 2 bad. ive been through a bottom braket and the rear cones mind u learn 90degree hops does tend 2 mess the wheels up 2 finsh i would say u cant get a better bike for the money, honset, and is a solid bike espcially for the money, BARGIN!

Used Product For 6 Months Strengths great frame, good looks, good price Weaknesses gears, shifters Similar Products Used hardrock 04 Review Being the entry level model, the components aren't top quality. They will eventually need replacing at which point you can upgrade them. The frame is exactly the same as the top end models like the scrap and is a great platform to upgrade on. I just bought some 05 DJ3's and they work well with the frame (although the MZ comps that come with the bike are ok) also disc brakes are a good idea as the brakes tend to need adjusting quite a bit and like most v-brakes they are useless when its wet but the basic model is totally competent for doing drops, jumps and whatever you like. Great bike!

Everyone stop being retards saying the forks bottom out to easily or are to stiff, because if you had an brains you would know that you can fill up the forks with air and let out air like a tire. IDIOTS

As I am upgrading parts I am getting even happier. This is a great frame with medeocer parts (hence the under $1000.00 price tag) I would recommend this bike but if you have a little more money to spend get one of the upgrades like the Kona Cowan (same bike, better parts)

Used Product For 1 Month Strengths frame, cranks, handle bars, forks Weaknesses brakes Similar Products Used gt ruckus trail Review unbelievable bike takes anything i could chuck at it any way. drop off anything up to five feet the takes it as if it were a kerb. anything higher and the shred takes it way better than anything ive ever ridden. no problems yet despite some dodgy nosedives. goes up and down hills and its centre of gravity is so low it just grips and grips no matter what corner your taking brakes are pretty crap but easily upgraded. sweet sweet bike better than any others in its price range.

Similar Products Used Kona stuff/scrap trek bruiser the P series etc Review well i have used this very hard for learning on and progressing to be at a good level. its a great punchy little bike for LEARNING on but after some good use most of it brakes, i have bent the wheels broke hubs mashed the forks, wreaked countless Botton brakets, and absoulutly mangeled the rear mech. the frame is great though. i have upgraded most of it but the cranks are still going, get saints for it, seriously! im going to give this a strong 4 out of 5 for learning purposes only, ive spent around 1000pounds on it now and its finally starting to turn into a pro hardcore hardtail. if your just starting out then get it, unless you have loads of money to upgrade basicly every thing but the frame!

I did this because the kona was suffering many problems with its suspension and gear system. My local dealer, told me of the bruiser's reputation and i went with it. It is a much more solid bike at a much better price, and has that all important thing, disc brakes. If anyone suffers similar problems i suggest you get the bruiser.

P2 Review This bike needs two changes fork and brakes. I´ve installed marzocchi Z1 freeeeride and hayes disc brakes on this bike and I think it is the best freeeeeride bike.

I have done huge stuff with it and it withstanded everything. Although i would recommend you put new forks an wheels on it. 2005 Dj 3 forks work well with the frame and a set of Halo SAS wheels.

Used Product For 6 Months Strengths Frame Weaknesses Bottom Bracket ,Forks Similar Products Used none Review Very solid bike aside from the bottom bracket and forks.I have hit some big jumps and drop offs and it takes it all. the forks (marzocchi dirt jam comp) are super soft no matter how much you adjust them, but they never bottom out. I have also had to screw around with the bottom bracket quite a bit but overall a good solid jumper.

The disk brakes work fairly well but an upgrade wouldn't hurt. This is a great bike to upgrade and gradually make better. When i bought this bike I eventually upgraded the forks and disks and then I found the bike to even be better.Its a great bike to build on and is very cheap. Basically the same as a scrap but with dirt jam comps instead of dirt jam pros. Which isn't a very big difference for how much more the scrap is.
