the side walls are VERY VERY tough, i run 10psi or less and no dents, and im going big drops, 8+ft gaps, and rails. This is one strong rim. The brake surface is nice and tall, and it has a machined side wall and welded seam. I love this rim, its probly the hardest rim to dent (for being non-disk). Its 29.5mm wide so you may get a tiny amount of tire roll, but its not bad. Its just a high quality rim. Best rim ive tried so far. and its not really heavy either, its lighter than tryall and alex rims.

i do like these rims but the only problem is that after 6 months of mild use the rim started coming apart (they are pinned not welded) i use discs front and rear so there is no problem from the breaking surface. that said they can stand up to a bit of abuse but i would reccomend going for the d521 (721 now) as it is better finished
