Review
By far the best brake I have used on the front of my trials bike or any bike at that... Ok i haven't had it long but its been amazing so far. Paired with the XTR lever it has unmatched power and modulation. Far better than the hs33 upfront i had it for about 5months and just didnt get the modulation and lock up i was looking for, didnt want to go disc so i went for this baby and works far better than the XT hydro disc i have upfront on my xc bike. Dont know about its preformance on the rear, but it might be just as good but ill stick with my hs33 for the time being...
A great buy, highly recommended to anyone who wants a decent front brake.

Review
I have been using XTR calipers with an XTR lever on the front for around 2 years and they have performed flawlessly. The parallel push system is a positive i feel giving more solid contact between the pads and rim. They will eventually become loose but mine have remained fairly rigid and on the front the degredation is minimal.

The levers are possibly the most comfortable i have felt they have good adjustments available. The whole package is light and powerful, perfect for the front, but for the back i would get a slightly stronger caliper such as a DX or something from the avid range but with both XTR levers

they feel nice, and work nice for the first while. after a while they just feel horribly squishy and lose a lot of their power. at this point you realise they were not worth the price you paid.

they are a bit of a gimmick. i don't care if my pad goes back and forth all parallel and stuff, as long as it is parallel when it hits the rim. any v-brake does that, and with more endurability and stiffness.

not for trials use.
