ive had this bike for two summers now and its still going strong. i weigh about 73kilos and it hasnt broken on me yet. the only real problem is the chain and freewheel are rubbish but i think this is common on most mods. Apart from that i cant fault it, really nice weight and it picks up to back wheel easily. Buy a nice fat chain and a half decent freewheel then you will not be dissapointed.

This is a great bike, I've done really large drops with this bike and its strong. The front disc brake keeps leaking(dunno y) so your going to have to get a new one(I got Hope minis GREAT BRAKES) and the fork is really heavy, must get lighter ones.

it has nice geometry. I am fairly small so i changed the bars for some proper Monty x-lite staight bars and i could blunt and gap a lot better. Freewheel has few engangement points, a bit annoying. the Frame is pretty tough, have landed fairly heavily on it a couple of times, been fine, hasn't really scratched, which is nice.
It looks real fine in red and white and the wheels are solid. The Magura clara disk is real snappy but does have bad days when you really need to pump the lever to get it working well. Other than that it is a good bike at a good price.

Review
I just started mod trials about 3 months ago. Before that I was doing street and dirt jump. I find the bike great for beginners. It is hard to use at first, considering I've been playing with 26 inch bikes before this... But once you're used to the geometry, you improve very fast. Although it is not the highest end of the Monty bikes, it is great to help you go through the learning curve. If you get a Monty X-Lite straight you'd probably break a lot of the parts on it and it may prove dangerous to you when riding. This bike helps you to get the basics so you'd ride better when you get to a more advanced level. Only disadvantage is that you'd have to change your bike after you get to a higher level but that is like in probably 2 or 3 years.

Ballance on this bike is great, but it's too short for me. I had many problems with my bike. My BB had broke down. Now I must change my rear hub and front brake. I won't buy something like this next time.

The disc brake is simply too weak for trials riding. I have tried a couple of tricks to make it stronger but nothing has worked. Even v-brakes would be stronger. The freewheel has 20 engagement points per rev and was skipping on the first ride. Rear brake NEEDS a booster, frame flexes ALOT!Cranks are too light-weight unless your a child. On the positive side, bike is light and seems strong. Fit and finish is good. Wheels are strong and well made.
