I can take an aluminum baseball bat and smack myself in the shins and not feel a thing. these things are the best. they're light and low-profile too.

These guards have a nice arch shape over the top of the foot so they come down over the top of your ankles a little. The outer material is fairly tuff (I haven't torn it yet) The plastic insert has a nice anatomical triangle shape that covers just the shin bone, not your whole dang leg...making these cooler in hot wheater than most. Not as much back-side protection as Six Six One's, or Haro.

The foam piece under the plastic us a bit overkill, and can be cut down or removed in my opinion.

A great buy!

Im just a beginner and iv cut my shins a lot of times and got a lot of stitches too so i decided to get some shinpads. The lizard skins fit me like a glove, they look very nice, they are made well and i think they will serve me for years to come. If you r looking for some good shin protection lizard skins are they way to go.

These shin pads are really great, the only weakness is that when I ride trials I bash up my knees a lot too. They cover almost all of my leg/shin area without getting in the way, but that doesn't do me any good when I smash my knee against my handlebar or stem. So they get 4 stars cause they are great, but i still hurt my legs sometimes when i ride trials with them.
