Review
Being 6'1" and 200lbs I was always a bit untrusting of aluminum frames, my reasoning behind sticking with the zebdi in the first place. Heavy duty aluminum frames tend to look bulky and very overbuilt. I wanted a sleek steel frame that was different than everything else, so it came to the curtis and the desalvo. Mine was the first Curtis ever shipped to the US, so that definitely took care of the uniqueness.

They offer three versions of the T1, the elite, comp, and street, all three vary only in tubing and gusseting. The Elite (4.25lbs) has no warranty, and is for competition use. The Comp (5lbs) is the standard setup, lifetime warranty, one year no quesions, strong enough for most anything anyone could throw at it, and the street (5.2lbs, same warranty) is overbuilt even more to handle some really massive riding. Cable routing, brake mounts, colors and decals, dropouts, and letter stamping are all options.

The bike has a shortish wheelbase, unlike some of the newest uci comp style offerings from koxx and echo. It's oriented more for street riding, pivots, manuals, etc, and that's where it shines. The chainstays are 15.6 inches and can just barely fit a 2.4 with a rounded profile. The michelin comp 24.1 fits fine (why would you use anything else?). Its awesome on the rear wheel and the geometry is dialed. Being able to trust every bit of my bike, especially the frame, has really helped my confidence and skill. This thing will last me for years to come.

rear end is a tad too short

Review
The T1 is by far the best frame i've ever ridden!
It'll take almost anything when it comes to street riding.
After riding one you just cant go back to anything else. you can custom it to what you prefer to ride along side it.
So on the whole...
Its pricey, but worth it!
