Review
killer frame. I love it, it's exactly everything I want in a frame. there are gussets (another layer of titanium) on the bottom of both chainstays, on the non-drive side of the bb cup, and on the downtube, (about ten inches worth on the lower part, and a small one at the headtube junction). It fits a wide tire, cause of the beautifully machined chainstay yoke. The only problems I've had are: 1.The rear axle moved slightly because the titanium is hard and smooth and doesn't give the hub much to hold on to. So I had the dropouts sandblasted and it hasn't slipped since. 2. The reaming/facing that was done was not perfect, in stark contrast to the immaculate perfection of the rest of the frame. The first one had been reamed slightly crooked, and after I had it faced, there were real problems with the headset cups seating right. So I sent it back and the guy that made it sent me a new one. The new one had been reamed correctly but still needed facing. It's worked great but on big drops or ups to bashguard, the headset creaks, and since it is reamed and faced correctly and the headtube is not ovalized, I figure that the steel headset cups are moving slightly due to titanium flex. I just got some loctite quickmetal 660 and that should put a stop to that. Overall, frame is great. It really is the frame of my dreams that I hoped it would be. If the headset stays put I would call the bike perfect. The frame isn't cheap, but I think totally worth it.
